Happy Easter all. Hope you had a great few days break. The weather here in Brisbane was phenomenal. We decided to have a ‘holiday at home’ this year for Easter….. Timothy O and I quickly wised up to that ol’ myth… there really is no such thing as a a ‘holiday at home’ is there…. though we had a great few days just being at home together.
This is what we did…. We ate a lot of hot cross buns. I made my own yoghurt… yep, you heard it right… my own yoghurt… and it is so easy and really yummy and you can so do it too!
We broke Brewbakers bread with family and friends and ate by the fire. Hung out with the chickens while gardening in the backyard.
I decided to get all ‘autumnal’ and change the colour way on the bed, inspired by this beautiful vintage sheet.
Picked up a piece of tatty bling which I love (reminds me of Kelly Wearstler) and I started to organise the old chemist’s haul I mentioned from last week. Love those old acid bottles with original glass stoppers.
Our fireplace insert arrived from ol’ Sydney Town. This caused much excitement within the household! If you look at the image under the fire insert you can see Coco balancing on her favourite chair – marking out exactly where the fireplace will be positioned.
We went to the local coastline to see what was happening and to catch some fresh sea air. We then came home and painted the wood fire oven steam engine black.
That was our Easter Break in Pictures. Did you have a great break?

But the big question is which chicken? I’m reckoning Bettina??? Looks like a lovely weekend and we are so glad we got a chance to spend some of it with you two. Dinner was delicious! xx
….Coco of course.x
What a lovely looking weekend!! I had ma parents and sister Hannah stay with us, it was such a treat.
Two things.. I love the white light shade in your living room! And secondly, I lOvE the white round cushion on the timber chair in your living room. We have been looking at getting some similar, but colourful for our chairs.. where did you find yours? xx
Hello Vic – that sounds lovely that your family came to visit. Bliss! I actually made mine out of a heavy chunky linen. xx
I was thinking of doing the same thing! Do you find your linen at Spotlight or somewhere better? xx
Hi Vic – I don’t tend to go to Spotlight too much…. some times you can find a rare pearl if you dig deep. I like the independent shops and furniture textile shops. You would have quite the choice in Melbourne for that! xxxx
Had a great weekend Kara. Made my first visit down to Paint City – Porter’s Paints Sunshine Coast distributor. Went home with a few samples. It’s a bit daunting. Hope to get down your way to collect my bowl in the next few weeks.
How exciting Karmin…. you are well on your way! Looking forward to seeing you at the market some time soon, x
